pain that extends into the shoulders and arms. Treatment for any neck condition is recommended as soon as possible to avoid any further aggravation. The

Everyday life activities are a common cause to acute neck pain. Whether you sleep incorrectly one night, are spending too much time at the computer, or are under a lot of emotional stress; all of these factors can cause an increase in muscle tension in the neck and shoulders. Those people who work at desks or work at computers are at risk of a repetitive stress injury, which can lead to chronic neck pain. In addition to regular chiropractic treatment, repetitive stress injuries can be reduced by changing the ergonomics of your work space. To read more about work station ergonomics click here.

Whiplash, as a result of a car accident or any injury, is defined as any sudden movement of the head and neck in opposite directions causing the head to “rebound” back and forth. Sometimes neck pain is not felt initially following the injury; however the person can be left with damage to the ligaments and muscles in the neck that can become problematic later in life.
